The Central Tucson Gallery Association (CTGA) in conjunction with its The Big Picture presents a reception on October 6 for the season-opener exhibit, The Lay of The Land, featuring works by gallery artists James P. Cook and Bruce McGrew along with guest artists Keith Marroquin and Eric Twachtman. The late Bruce McGrew (1937-1999) and James P. Cook were long-time friends academic colleagues on the University of Arizona Art School faculty and frequent companions on painting expeditions throughout the western U.S. McGrew was especially known for his impressionist watercolors painted directly from nature. Cook is a nationally recognized modern Realist painter. Marroquin and Twachtman are Tucson artists with years of career experience and unique approaches to the landscape. This exhibit runs September 21 to November 3, 2018 .
