Out of the Woods: Celebrating Trees in Public Gardens

Más Información

The American Society of Botanical Artists and the New York Botanical Gardens presents an exhibition, featuring 44 artworks from artists from all over the country, depicting one of the planet's most important and beautiful resources at Tucson Botanical Gardens (TBG). The subject of this exhibition, trees found in botanical gardens and arboreta throughout the US and around the world, highlight the role botanical gardens and arboreta play in public education about trees and their ecological and utilitarian roles, as well as the research/scholarship they provide in these areas. The artists' aesthetically personal depictions of these inspiring subjects ranges from seedpods to branches and bark to an entire forest floor. This exhibit will be located in The Legacy and Porter Hall Galleries. Sponsored by the Wallace Research Foundation and the Fred W. Stang Foundation
