Discover the fun in science. Reid Park Zoo is partnering with S.Y.STEM Coalition for a STEM day at the Zoo. There will be a wide variety of science-based activities which may include Non-Newtonian fluids, static electricity, numbers game, robotics, self-watering plant, life sciences and radiology, experiments pertaining to reflexes, slime, geology, plate tectonics, semi-conductors, solar scopes for sun viewing, sand to silicon, paper airplanes, adaption to predators, and much more. Zoo educators will demonstrate how wildlife scientists use STEM to help protect wild animals and wild places. There will also be an enrichment table, Zoo Keeper chats and conservation activities.
