Tucson Marathon events include the Holualoa Tucson Marathon & Marathon Relay as well as the Damascus Bakeries Half Marathon. The Tucson Marathon is often called one of the prettiest courses in the country and one of the easiest to run a personal best. The town of Oracle marks the starting line and the course winds through Sonoran Desert on paved roads, finishing at the Golder Ranch Fire Station in the town of Catalina. Enjoy beautiful Tucson winter weather with temperatures at the start averaging in the high 30s and reaching 65-70 degrees Fahrenheit by 11 a.m. This is primarily a downhill marathon with some hills around mile 2-4, and mile 11-12 and 22-23. A portion of the race proceeds benefit local school sports programs and other selected youth groups. The course is USATF Certified and is a Boston Marathon qualifier.
