For the first time in Tucson history a casino resort has received the prestigious Forbes Four Star Travel Guide Award. Forbes Travel Guide today unveiled its 55th annual listing of Star Award-winning hospitality establishments worldwide, and named Casino Del Sol Resort, Spa and Conference Center as part of this distinguished list.
Casino Del Sol Resort, along with it’s Hiapsi Spa and already award-winning PY Steakhouse, will all be showcased along with the rest of the 2013 award winners on Startle.com, the online home of Forbes Travel Guide. In addition to Forbes Travel Guide’s annual list of Five- and Four-Star hotels, restaurants and spas, the company revealed its new Recommended rating category, designating well-appointed hotels, restaurants and spas that deliver enhanced service, distinct value and a strong sense of place. This rating category joins Forbes Travel Guide’s Five-Star and Four-Star ratings designations, which since the company’s founding in 1958 as Mobil Travel Guide have been the gold standard for hospitality excellence.
Already rated by AAA as a Four-Diamond destination, Casino Del Sol Resort is a 215-room, 161,000-square-foot resort that features more than 65,000-square-feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and convention space; Hiapsi, a full-service spa; and several restaurants and lounges including PY Steakhouse, Prema Lounge and Starbucks. Opening December 12, 2013, Sewailo golf course, an 18-hole, par 72-hole championship golf course designed by PGA golfer Notah Begay III, will soon join the impressive amenities available to guests.
