The Park Tucson program office, a division of the General Services Department, was created in 1997 to stimulate economic development within the Park Tucson area by creating a partnership between the City and the community that efficiently and creatively utilizes parking resources to improve the overall accessibility of the region. The Park Tucson program is responsible for focusing, coordinating, and supporting the City's role in parking and associated issues. Park Tucson is responsible for on-street parking, six parking garages and five lots in the Downtown area.
